Lynwood Lunsford–
Biography
Lynwood grew up in a musical family, both his daddy
and granddaddy played. He pleasantly recalls a memory
from age four of hearing his mother play Merle Haggard
on an old 45 rpm. He credits Jimmy Martin and growing
up in the Piedmont region as the greatest musical
influences in his life. Lynwood is a professional
musician, music storeowner and teacher. As he
says, “Music is what defines me.” He sees
The Misty Valley Boys becoming one of the influential
bluegrass groups of the 21st century because of their
unique style and the emotional appeal of the music.
Lynwood lives in Cascade, Virginia where hunting is
his favorite pastime.
